How to create a professional invoice with our free generator
Follow these simple steps to create, preview, and send a polished invoice — no sign-up, no fees, no fuss.
Set up the invoice basics
Start by entering an invoice number (or leave it blank and we'll generate one), the invoice date, a due date, and your preferred currency. Add payment terms like "Net 30" or "Due on receipt" so your client knows exactly when payment is expected.
Add your business details
Fill in the "Tell us about your business" section with your company name, email address, phone number, and address. If you're a freelancer, use your own name. Include your Tax ID or VAT number if applicable — these appear on the invoice header for compliance.
Upload your logo
Make your invoice look polished and on-brand by uploading your company logo. We accept JPEG, PNG, and WebP files up to 2MB. Your logo will appear in the top corner of the PDF, giving your invoice a professional, branded look.
Enter your customer's information
Fill in the "Who are you billing?" section with your client's business name, email address, and mailing address. Getting these details right ensures the invoice reaches the right person and looks credible when it arrives.
Add your products or services
Add each product or service as a line item with a description, quantity, and unit price. The invoice generator automatically calculates the line total for you. If applicable, set a tax rate or discount for each item. Need to bill for more items? Just click "Add Item" to add another row.

For each line item, the line total is calculated as (quantity × unit price) minus the discount amount. Tax is then applied as a percentage of the line total. All calculations happen on our server — the totals you see in the preview are the exact figures that appear on the final PDF.
We take your privacy seriously. Invoice data is used only to generate the PDF and is not stored permanently. If you opt in to marketing updates, only your email is saved — and you can unsubscribe anytime. We use Cloudflare Turnstile to protect against bots, and all data is transmitted over HTTPS.
